Hinged Welded Turbolizer
(COT-302)
Crimson’s Hinged Welded Bow Spring Turbolizers are designed to induce a spiral flow pattern in the cement slurry, enhancing displacement efficiency and ensuring effective mud removal. Ideal for deviated and horizontal wells, these turbolizers promote better fluid circulation, uniform slurry distribution into wellbore irregularities, and reduced channeling.
The deflector blades, mounted on standard bow springs, generate turbulence within the slurry during cementing operations. Manufactured from heat-treated spring steel under controlled conditions and compliant with API 10D specifications, the fins can be set clockwise or counterclockwise to achieve optimal cement displacement. Their spring-like flexibility minimizes the risk of damage while running downhole.
The bow springs are securely welded to the end collars, ensuring superior strength and consistency. Each end collar features a reinforcing rib stamped internally for enhanced structural integrity and includes a stop device for added security. The integral hinge design further improves durability, allowing it to withstand high operational stress.
All Crimson turbolizers are treated with a special iron phosphate coating for corrosion resistance, followed by a durable polyester powder coating for extended service life. They are typically supplied in a semi-assembled form to minimize shipping and storage costs and are available in sizes from 3½” to 20”, with custom sizes and configurations available upon request.
